Short Term LOA
Short term LOA generally refers to leave applications during term time for medical reasons, bereavement or if you are officially representing Singapore, NUS or the Law Faculty in an event.
Please submit a hardcopy application form to the Dean's Office (Mdm Halimah – lawha@nus.edu.sg) with supporting documents. Please DO NOT submit your application through Campus Solution.
You will be notified by the Dean's Office once your leave application has been processed.
Long term LOA refers to leave applications for one semester or more. Please note that students will be liable for all fees payable if your leave application is submitted after the first 2 instructional weeks of term.
Please submit your application with supporting documents through Campus Solutions HERE
You will be notified by email once your leave application has been processed.
Important Notice to Students:
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have
complied with the official requirements for LOA
applications. Students who miss assessment exercises
without official approval for leave may suffer
assessment penalties. Please note that it is not
sufficient to seek the permission of your tutor or
convener of the course. The formal procedure must be
adhered to and approval for LOA must be obtained
from the Dean’s Office even when attending faculty
initiated or approved events, for example moots or
negotiation competitions.
