Public Seminars & Talks

These are typically half-day events. They are held on a regular basis. Each seminar usually involves the presentation of two or three papers, by one or more speakers. Sometimes, the event is organized as a talk or lecture. Our speakers are experts in their fields, drawn from the Faculty and elsewhere. To stimulate discussion, the seminars are structured to include a ‘question-and-answer’ session. The venue varies from case to case; sometimes they are held at Faculty premises, and at other times, at external locations, such as the City Hall Chamber at the Singapore Academy of Law. The audience is drawn from a wide array of sources; it includes academics, private practitioners, legal officers in government service, and in-house lawyers.
