Prof KL Koh presented a paper on “Water/Freshwater Resources:
Law, Policy and Governance: Singapore Case Study”. On 1 November
2009, Assoc Prof LH Lye attended the 7th Annual General Meeting
of the IUCN Academy’s Board of Governors at Wuhan, and reported
on the activities of the Teaching and Capacity Building (TCB)
Committee, of which she is Co-chair. Assoc Prof LH Lye chaired
the meeting of the TCB Committee on 3 November 2009, at Wuhan,
China. Assoc Prof LH Lye was a participant at the IUCN Academy
of Environmental Law’s 7th Annual Colloquium, on the theme
"Environmental Governance and Sustainability", and presented a
paper entitled "Applying the ‘Polluter Pays’ Principle in the
Management of Road Traffic in Singapore", on 4 November 2009.
She also chaired a panel session entitled "Environmental
Governance, Sustainability and Waste Management" on 3 November
2009. |
